Second Trailer of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu Released
The second trailer of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu has just made its debut on the web. The two-minute video shows the main characters, including the title yellow Pocket Monster dubbed by Ryan Reynolds. The film will be released in cinemas in May this year.
Warner Bros. Pictures has just published the second trailer of the Pokemon: Detecive Pikachu. This two-minute clip gives viewers an outline of the story, the main characters and many previously unseen scenes, locations and Pokemons that did not appear on the first trailer released in November last year.
The plot of the film takes place in the universe known from the Pokemon game series. The story begins with the disappearance of the famous detective Harry Goodman (Paul Kitson). His 21-year-old son Tim (Justice Smith, mostly known from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) tries, unsuccessfully, to find out what happened to the famous investigator. He soon encounters Pikachu, suffering from amnesia, who worked with his father. For some reason Tim is the only one who understands the witty creature's speech and is able to communicate with him. So they both decide to join forces and solve the mystery of disappearance, which soon leads them to a mysterious conspiracy that can shake the whole world. The appearance of the popular Mewtwo in the trailer may suggest who is behind the disappearance of Goodman.
Let's add that Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool series) lends voice to the title electric mouse creature. We will also see Kathryn Newton (Paranormal Activity 4), Ken Watanabe (Letters from Iwo Jima, The Last Samurai, Inception) and Rita Ora (50 Shades of Grey). Rob Letterman stood behind the camera, the director of animated movies such as Monsters vs. Aliens and Shark Tale. Pokemon: Detective Pikachu will debut in movie theaters on May 10, 2019.
