Sci-fi horror Syndrome gets a gameplay video and release date

If you are not discouraged by its cliche setting, you'll probably be interested in Syndrome, a sci-fi survival horror set in a space ship swarmed by mutants. The game is coming out next month.

Sci-fi first-person survival horror game called Syndrome is going to launch on PC on October 6, 2016, a tad later than originally planned. Coming from indie developer Camel 101, the title will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, apparently on the same day across all platforms. The studio has also shared a 13-minute long gameplay footage. The video shows off some claustrophobic gameplay, creepy moments, and up-close and personal encounters with hideous mutants.

Syndrome is set inside a drifting spaceship. You play as one of the crew members and wake up from cryosleep only to find out that your collegues are nowhere to be found – at least the ones still alive – and the vessel is swarmed by deadly mutants instead. The game is reminiscent of many recent survival horrors. Gameplay is mostly about exploration, interacting with the environment, puzzle solving and evading opponents. Since weapons and ammunition are scarce and the enemies are numerous, you will have to be stealthy as often as possible. Check out some new screenshots on the official website.
