Ryzen 3000 Specs, Prices and Release Date
During its presentation at Computex 2019, AMD presented five Ryzen 3000 series processors. The strongest unit has 12 cores and the weakest one only half of that. We also know the prices and release date.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- AMD revealed processors from the Ryzen 3000 series;
- The weakest unit has six cores and 12 threads;
- The strongest CPU model in the series is the 12-core Ryzen 3900X;
- The highest clock reaches 4.6 GHz in Turbo mode.
During the initial presentation of Computex 2019, AMD officially presented a new line of CPU - Ryzen 3000. We learned the specs and price of the first five units belonging to the Matisse family. Unfortunately, there's no powerful 16-core model among them that appeared in some earlier leaks. The release date was also disclosed - the products will be launched on the market on July 7.
The five presented processors are Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 7 3800X and Ryzen 9 3900X. AMD boasted that the 3700X is faster than Intel's competitive i7-9700K CPU, offering 1% better performance for single-threaded tasks and up to 30% better performance for multithreaded tasks. Game performance is also promising - the PUBG Ryzen 7 3800X is said to beat the i9-9900K in PUBG.
Details on the specifications and prices of individual units can be found in the table below. It is worth noting that the information from last week has not been confirmed - none of the models is clocked at 5 GHz.
