Frontstory.pl [in Polish] published an article by Karolina Szmygin, in which the author presented, among others: approach of politicians and public figures to the news media. One of the figures described in the text is Adam Hoffman, a former politician, who along with his now closed PR agency R4S, was responsible some time ago for the marketing of a well-known Polish company developing video games.

As part of a series of courses organized by the Youth Academy for the Fight against Disinformation - a project of the Ferdynand A. Ossendowski Institute - a former politician, recalled his supposedly successful attempt to conceal mobbing in Polish gamedev:

We had [in other words: we serviced - ed. note) once a company that made video games, a very good company, well-known. Mobbing, top down and among employees, internal forums were ablaze. It was kept within the company, nobody ever found out about it. But it was very close for the stock company to incur huge losses counted, well, in hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

The words of the former politician naturally caused quite a stir among internet users. Both due to the shameful practices mentioned during the courses of offered by the Academy, which is supposed to indicate directions for fighting media deception, but also due to the unexpected reference to the situation in the Polish video game industry.

No specific name of the studio is mentioned in Szmygin's article, but Adam Hoffman somewhat narrowed down the circle of "suspects" by citing stock market losses.

Many people commenting on this situation were looking for someone to blame, primarily considering the giant that is undoubtedly CD Projekt. However, studio's representatives managed to react quickly, preventing any more serious accusations to emerge.

The company's innocence also seems to be supported by the fact that the issue of ambiguity in employee-employer relations within CDP was once widely discussed - which would conflict with Hoffman's narrative of saving the image of the company he mentioned.

At this point, it is difficult to say what gaming company the politician was talking about, assuming the anecdote he quoted is even true.
