Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Only On Epic Store?
Red Dead Redemption 2 PC is yet to be officially announced. Nevertheless, hot rumors keep popping up around the web. This time, 4chan users report that the game is to be officially announced pm Aprill 22, and will be available only on Epic Games Store.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most important games of last year. The console title from Take-Two Interactive proved to be a huge commercial success, reaching over 23 million players worldwide. So far, the game's version for PC has not been announced. From time to time there are rumors related to this issue, such as the video showing a fragment of the gameplay running on a PC published at the end of last year. Now more information has come out. According to them, the port is to be officially announced on April 22. Most interestingly, Red Dead Redemption 2 is to be another title that will go exclusively to the Epic Games Store and Rockstar Social Club.
This information was made public on 4chan. According to the website's users, the official launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 would take place on July 9, 2019. There is also the dreaded exclusivity, allegedly not temporary. Rockstar's game allegedly is never to appear on Steam. This is to be the result of a deal according to which Take-Two Interactive will receive all revenues from game expansions.
Of course, it should be taken into account that this is not an official source. Please note that 2K Games, the developer of Borderlands 3, which will also be released only on Epic Games Store, is also owned by Take-Two Interactive. In this case, however, the game will be a temporary exclusive.
It is worth mentioning that Red Dead Redemption 2 made its debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26 2018. The title was a great success and became the best-rated game to be released on Sony consoles.
