Rumor: Next Call of Duty is Black Ops and It's in Trouble
There are rumors on the web about the next (after Modern Warfare) installment of Call of Duty. Unfortunately, according to them, the title is in a surprisingly early stage of production. The new game will probably belong to the Black Ops sub-series.
There are less than three weeks left before the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The players are beginning to rub their hands in glee, and rumors about the unannounced title in the Call of Dutyseries have appeared on the web. This, of course, should not surprise anyone, because looking at the fate of the series so far, it is quite obvious that the next installment is already being developed.
Unfortunately, according to reports, the work is not going very well. The source of the leaks is youtuber TheGamingRevolution, who repeatedly proved that he has access to great and credible information about the Call of Duty franchise. In response to a question from one of Twitter users, he wrote:
Let us remind that the developer of the next (after Modern Warfare) installment of CoD is Treyarch. What is the reason for the slow progress? It's hard to say at the moment, but it may have something to do with Sledgehammer Games losing their position in the annual rotation. It is possible that Treyarch learned about the demand for a new game of the well-known series very late, hence the development problems.
So far there is no point in looking so far into the future, since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will take place on October 25. The title will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
