An upgraded version of Death Stranding for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles is ready, according to an industry insider. In fact, its announcement was expected today.

If the Internet insider Navtra is to be believed, Death Stranding will be the next game to get a PlayStation 5 upgrade (also available on PlayStation 4) . This user posted the following comment on ResetEra forum:

"It has been ready and done for a while now, though. Genuinely expected it to be revealed today. Same goes for Life is Strange: True Colors.

I'd give it one more month maybe."

Information about Death Stranding on PS5, even unconfirmed by Kojima Productions, is welcome, but not surprising, given the condition of the PC edition (the game looks nicer and runs smoother than on PS4). So let's hope that online leaks are confirmed and soon we'll hear the official announcement of the improved work of Hideo Kojima's team.

As for Life is Strange: True Colors, Navtra talks about a possible continuation of the series of narrative adventure games by DONTNOD Entertainment, which we reported yesterday. That title, in turn, will likely be arimed at a couple of platforms - not just the next-gen console from Sony.

PS5 has already received improved versions of games developed for PS4. Case in point is Ghost of Tsushima, whose next-gen edition supports 4K and 60 fps. Recently, during the online event State of Play, an improved version of Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced.
