GTA-like Heist; GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs Stolen
Nowadays GPUs are extremely valuable computer parts. As it turns out, GeForce RTX 3000 series GPUs have become so exclusive a good that they have become an object of a theft in broad daylight.
Global pandemic or the crypto craze are things that lead to disruptions in the supply chain and the main reasons for the high prices of computer components, especially graphics chips. GPUs are now worth so much that they have attracted the interest of thieves. A representative of the US company EVGA reported that on October 29 this year, a theft of GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards took place, which were transported by truck from San Francisco to a distribution center in Southern California. It is known that the shipment included various models - starting from RTX 3060s and ending with RTX 3090s. However, the number of stolen cards was not given.

According to EVGA, the serial numbers of the stolen GPUs are known. A possible buyer will therefore be able to easily determine whether the model he bought does not come from a fence. Such cards are not registerable and are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Some will probably come up with a theory that the theft was carried out by a larger (and operating outside the law) cryptocurrency mine. In that case, these chips are unlikely to see the light of day again.
