Rockstar Patches Red Dead Redemption 2 Launcher - List of Fixes
Rockstar has released a new Rockstar Games Launcher update, designed for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. It fixes the most serious bugs appearing in the app, which turned out to be the cause of many reported problems with the game.
The long-awaited launch of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 took place yesterday. As often in the case of big premieres, the first players who bought the title had a lot of unpleasant surprises waiting for them. Very soon they started to report extremely problematic and unexpected problems appearing in the game. A large part of them turned out to be due to Rockstar Games Launcher app. Not only have they made it more difficult to have fun, but they have often prevented the title from being launched at all. Developers have just released a new update for the launcher, which they believe will fix virtually all of the problems it generates.
The patch is designed to fix the most common launch errors and to help those who bought Red Dead Redemption 2 from Epic Games Store and couldn't launch it in the store. What's more, it will to once again use the antivirus software installed on computers, many of which were in conflict with the application. The full list of changes is available below or here.
- Fixed issue where Rockstar Games Launcher displayed a "failed launch attempt" message during the launch.
- Fixed issue where Rockstar Games Launcher was unable to finish loading and did not respond to any commands.
- Fixed issue where Rockstar Games Launcher displayed the message "Rockstar Games Launcher unexpectedly stopped working" when launching Red Dead Redemption 2.
- Fixed issue where Rockstar Games Launcher unexpectedly terminated when trying to run from Epic Games Launcher
- Fixed issue where Rockstar Games Launcher, when launching Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Epic Games Launcher application, displayed the message "Cannot launch the game, please check the installed data".
Let's emphasize once again that the patch focuses only on the launcher and does not fix any significant bugs in the game itself. If lists of problems appearing in Red Dead Redemption 2 are to be believed, Rockstar still has a lot of work to do to eliminate all the issues reported by fans and improve the performance of the game.
