RoboCop is Terminator's Official Prequel?

In the history of science fiction cinema, you can find movies that have gained a cult following. Without a doubt, we include among them Terminator and RoboCop - titles that have unexpectedly much in common.

All thanks to the comic book crossover, which is now included in the canon of stories about a robot from the future, whose task is to kill the mother of the future resistance leader. We are talking about the story drawn by Frank Miller and Walter Simonson - RoboCop vs The Terminator.

What do we learn from the comic itself? The story depicts the genesis of Skynet, which is closely linked, as you might guess, to RoboCop, or more precisely, to Alex Murphy. Murphy's human mind at some point merges with Skynet, creating a chain reaction, making the artificial intelligence fully conscious.

Similar to the events familiar to fans of Terminator, Skynet was not very peaceful towards humanity and decided to eliminate it. Moreover, the figure of the "robotic policeman" became the blueprint for the first killer machine, which means that his existence confirms that RoboCop is a prequel to The Terminator.

It must be said that the two series fit perfectly together in terms of the message. RoboCop took a very strong anti-corporate stance with a message that spoke of the dangers of allowing large corporations to act with impunity. When paired with The Terminator the message became clearer, for it was in this movie that humanity created its own tool of destruction.
