Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days gets a release date and a new trailer
This Reservoir Dogs game looks like it's going to be pretty good. With its original time reversal mechanics, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will let you meticulously plan all your characters' actions.
As you may already know, there is a new game based on Quentin Tarantino’s 1992 movie Reservoir Dogs in the making. Developed by Big Star Games, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days is a top-down shooter, somewhat similar to Hotline Miami, but with a time reversal twist. The game has now got a release date along with a new cinematic trailer – it is going to launch on Steam on May 18, 2017.
Unlike many games based on films (including the previous Reservoir Dogs video game from 2006), Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days has a potential of being pretty good. That’s because of its original time rewinding mechanics. As you could see in the trailer, the game features the six characters well-known from the movie: Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Blonde, Mr. Pink, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Blue. For each heist you can take three of them and control them separately. As soon as you switch between two protagonists, time goes back a few moments so that you can program the actions of another one, all the while the previous thug repeats whatever you did before the switch. When using these mechanics you must design perfectly coordinated sequences.
