Red Dead Redemption 2 Rated on Nintendo Switch; Could be a Mistake
Red Dead Redemption 2 may be coming to Nintendo Switch. The hope for this was raised by the Brazilian age rating authority. However, there is no shortage of suggestions that this is just a mistake.
Just over a month after the release of Red Dead Redemption on Nintendo Switch, some very interesting reports are reaching us. According to information reached by one X/Twitter user specializing in Nintendo, the website of the Brazilian equivalent of PEGI mentioned that the age rating has been given to RDR2 on Switch.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has received an age rating on Nintendo Switch in Brazil," Necro Felipe's post reads.
There have been many instances when it came to rating games shortly before their official release. However, it's hard to say whether it will be the same for Red Dead Redemption 2.
However, given that the game, released in 2018, gave the PS4 and Xbox One consoles quite a thrashing, one can assume that it would be at least similar on Switch. Internet users immediately picked up on this information and, referring to the abysmal quality ofMortal Kombat 1 on Nintendo's hybrid console, they spoke quite negatively to a possible port of RDR2 to the Japanese company's device. This, according to Okami Games, is what the Switch version of the game could look like:
To avoid such problems, the most sensible solution would be to release the title in the cloud. Necro Felipe, however, was very quick to rule out this idea, claiming that game streaming in Brazil is so underdeveloped that age ratings for such games are not given. It could therefore be a simple mistake, as suggested by other Internet users and insiders.
So we can't help but be patient and await an official comment from Rockstar Games.
