Red Dead Redemption 2 Launches on Steam

We've finally seen the day when Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on Steam. Rockstar Games' hit will debut there today.

The game will hit Steam a month after its release in Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store.

The day of the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam has finally arrived. The game will be unlocked on Steam around 9:00 am PT.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on PC on November 5, this year. Until now the title was available only through Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store. In all stores it costs $59.99.

The November launch on PC was not fully successful due to many technical issues. There were so many of them that Rockstar Games had to apologize to the fans and offer them compensation in the form of sets of virtual items for Red Dead Online.

The devs have already released several updates for the PC version since its release. Not everything is perfect yet, but most of the performance issues have been eliminated, and the patch released three days ago solved bugs that caused the engine to freeze and incorrectly save the game states in the single-player campaign.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released last October on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game turned out to be another great hit in Rockstar Games portfolio, selling over 25 million copies. It was also very warmly received by the industry media. The PS4 version has an average rating of 97% on Metacritic.
