Red Dead Online: Blood Money Update Goes Live

The long-awaited for months free update to Red Dead Online called Blood Money launched today. The mafia employer is already waiting for a team of cowboys ready to raid, rob and put the screws to his enemies.

Today marked the release of a new free expansion for Red Dead Online - the popular online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games - titled Blood Money. This is the first major update for the game to be released since December, last year. It provides the players with access to a number of multi-stage "lawless" activities - similar to heists in GTA Online.

Mugging, extortion, robbery - this is the kind of work we'll get from an organization run by a new face in the Wild West. Guido Martelli, the right hand of the famous mafia boss Angelo Bronte, will offer us activities called crimes and opportunities in the game. They will be based on the recovery of a certain valuable commodity, which in the circles of the Bronte family is named capital. In addition to Martelli, we'll also meet four of his associates, who will also send us on a wild chase for gold and cash.

Through today's update, we get three multi-stage assignments titled Railroad, Jeb Phelps and Bluewater. Each of these crimes is to offer a unique storyline, characters or rewards. Farm and camp robberies will also be available in the game. If we prove ourselves as Martelli's mercenaries, he will enable us to take part in the aforementioned opportunities, which are large operations consisting of making life difficult for senator Lemoyne, who threatens the family of our employer. Details can be found here. Information about the upcoming content of Blood Money is to be revealed, on the other hand, via the following posts on Rockstar Newswire.

On the occasion of Blood Money's release a few smaller changes have been added to the game, such as new item discounts, weekly events, a mercenary essential (details here) and a few mods to the outlaw pass and brochures. By far the most significant of the side effects is the introduction of support for NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 on PC. You can watch how it works in the video above.
