RDR2Likely to Get a Movie Editor in the Vein of GTA 5
It seems that Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature movie editor pulled straight from GTA V. It will enable the players to record and create extensive video recordings that they can later share with the community.
According to unofficial reports, RDR2 will soon feature a Rockstar editor, a feature that many players have been waiting for since the launch of the console versions. The tool for recording and editing videos directly in the game was mentioned last year, because its traces could be found in the source code of the accompanying application. Tez2, a Twitter user who is a good source of leaks about Rockstar's production, has confirmed that the editor is indeed in the works.
As can be seen from the above statement, the feature will not debut with the release of RDR2 on PC, but most likely it will appear only when the Steam version is released. This will take place in December. Until then, players will have to settle for the upgraded photo mode (only available in story mode). You will read more about it in our impressions from the PC version. It is possible that Rockstar editor will also visit Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was similar with GTA V - the tool was first available on PC, and then it was added in versions for the current-gen consoles.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on October 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. From tomorrow the game will be available on PC through Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store, unfortunately without the said editor. We will have to be patient at least until December, which is the release date of the Steam version. It is possible that Rockstar will officially confirm its plans to release the tool for recording and editing movies in RDR2 by that time.
