Rainbow Six Quarantine Likely to be Renamed
Ubisoft most likely plans to change the title of Rainbow Six: Quarantine. This has to do with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Ubisoft will likely rename Rainbow Six: Quarantine to Rainbow Six: Parasite;
- The reason for the change may be the negative connotations of the word "quarantine".
It looks like Ubisoft is going to change the title of Rainbow Six: Quarantine to Rainbow Six: Parasite. It probably has to do with the pandemic and negative associations with the word "quarantine" - it is worth remembering that the game was announced in June 2019, that is, quite some time before the appearance of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and the Covid-19 disease it causes (via MP1ST).
Editors of Multiplayer First have also dug up images associated with the launch patch (marked1.01), which suggest that - still unknown - the game's release date may be closer than we think. The illustrations show, among other things, a new title and information about the Remote Play function using PlayStation Vita. It seems that confirmation of the name change by Ubisoft is only a matter of time.
