What is a Recycler?
Recycler is a new device available in Raft. It enables you to recycle unwanted materials into Trash Cubes.
It doesn't sound like a valuable exchange, but despite appearances, this trash is really valuable. You can exchange the cubes at the trading post.
This means they are a kind of currency that can be used to buy blueprints, materials and many other valuable items. Some of them will enable you to get even more riches. You will find out how to do this later in this article.
How to build the Recycler?
To build a Recycler, you need the right blueprint. It is located on the first island you visit in the story (you can reach it using the receiver).
It is not a classic island, but an abandoned radio tower. On its top you will find the schematic you are looking for. Then you must go to your Research Table and work on it. You do not need any additional resources to do this.
After completing the above steps you will be able to craft the Recycler. To make it you will need plastic (6), metal bars (4), a circuit board (1), screws or hinges (2).
However, please note that crafting the Recycler is not enough. You also need to power the machine. For this you will need one simple battery.
How to use the Recycler?
The Recycler is very easy to use. All you have to do is to put enough materials into it (it can recycle almost everything except food) and it will turn them into a handy cube of thrash.
So this is a good way to get rid of unnecessary items, which you will then turn into something valuable. The processing itself takes about 5 minutes. Once it is done, the cube will simply fall out of the device and you can take it away.
How to earn money on thrash?
As mentioned earlier, you can exchange thrash cubes at the trading posts for various items. Among them you can find several types of fishing lures.
Using them guarantees you a sure catch of a random type of fish. You can then bring your catch to the trading post and sell it. In this way, you can quickly earn some valuable Trade Coins.
However, you have to remember that every shop has a certain number of fishing lures in stock. So you cannot treat it as an infinite source of wealth.
