PS5's Game Lineup Suggests Imminent Announcement of Battlefield 6

Information from PlayStation Official Magazine UK suggests that Electronic Arts and DICE are about to announce Battlefield 6.

Battlefield V debuted in 2018.

Everything seems to indicate that the next installment of the Battlefield series will be announced soon. The latest issue of PlayStation Official Magazine UK published a list of games that will appear on the PS5 console, including Battlefield 6.

The short note published in the magazine tells us that DICE is working on the game, and the release is scheduled for 2021, which coincides with previous reports. First of all, however, it was announced that more information about Battlefield 6 will be published in the next issue of the magazine. This suggests that the project will be announced next month.

It is worth reminding that on June 12 the EA Play event is planned, during which upcoming productions from Electronic Arts' publishing catalogue will be presented. It's a perfect moment to reveal Battlefield 6, although we wouldn't be surprised if the publisher released some kind of teaser a few days beforehand to heat up the atmosphere.

DICE seems to be focusing on the sixth installment of the series. In April this year, the team announced the end of Battlefield V's development (which met with a very negative response from the community). A few days later it was announced that Star Wars: Battlefront IIwill meet the same fate.

All things considered, it seems that DICE is fully committed to working on the sixth Battlefield. It will be the first project of the team created for next-gen consoles, so the studio cannot afford to fail.
