PS5 Will Let You Check Out Games Before Purchase - UK Tests New Feature
Residents of the UK can test temporarily Death Stranding: Director's Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PlayStation 5. However, the debut of the new service has not been without controversy.

- Reddit user jsnals found an easy way to get around the limitation by creating an additional account on the console.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has introduced a new feature for PlayStation 5 users, which enables them to test games for a few hours before purchasing them. For now, the option is only available in the UK, and until October 28 enables us to check out two titles - Death Stranding Director's Cut (for 6 hours) and Sackboy: A Big Adventure (5 hours).
All progress and trophies earned during the trial period will carry over to the full version if players decide to purchase it.
In theory, this is a great way to see if you want to spend the funds on a particular title. However, it quickly became apparent that the feature didn't work as well as PS5 owners might have hoped.
The time limit does not apply from the moment the game is first played, but rather from the moment the user clicks the "Download" button in the console menu or the "Add to library" button in their web browser. In other words, includes the process of downloading and installing the data, which can be quite a problem when using a slow internet connection.. Especially that the trial period on a given account can be run only once. Interestingly, according to the message received by users, this is a deliberate action of the Japanese company.

But what are the Reddit users for? One of them found a trivial way to work around this problem. An Internet user known as jsnals recommends creating a new account with the same region as the main profile and then using it to download the trial version. When the installation is complete, just switch back to the main account, go to the game tab and select "Download trial version". Since the game is already on the disk, the user can immediately use it and enjoy all the time they should be able to do so.
The service may not have had the best of launches, but its very presence on PS5 bodes well for console users. The games included in the trial period may cause that no one will miss the demos anymore.
