The New Witcher Card Game Not Coming to Consoles

Console enthusiasts waiting for Project Golden Nekker from CD Projekt RED may feel disappointed. As it turns out, the developers do not intend to make this title available on consoles. The game will hit PC, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices with, and its release will take place later this year.
Golden Necker not for console players
Information about the release of the latest game based on gwent was provided by Pawel Burza, the head of Gent Comms on IGN. He stated that the game will be available on PC, iOS and Android systems later this year. A little more light was shed on the situation by Vladimir Tortsov, director of Project Golden Nekker in his weekly stream titled "This Week In Gwent":
"When it comes to consoles, we left them for a reason. Of course there was something good about them. Otherwise the previous games wouldn't have been released on consoles at all, but for games with live support and frequent updates it would be a really difficult experience."
Technically it can be done
Let's remember that another game based on the mechanics of Gwent, namely Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales was released on consoles and can still be played on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is possible that CD Projekt RED will consider a console version Project Golden Nekker if the game is successful on computers and mobile devices.
