Power Surge is a mechanic in Once Human that allows for a significant increase in damage output for a short period of time. Building your character around this feature involves carefully selecting weapons, armor, and mods to maximize its effectiveness. Read on if you want to know how to trigger Power Surge status.

Once Human – Power Surge Guide

Typically, landing critical hits fills a Power Surge meter. Once full, the effect activates, granting a significant boost for a limited time. By prioritizing critical hit chance and damage, players can trigger Power Surge more frequently and deal significantly increased damage during the active phase. The ultimate goal of this build is to maintain Power Surge uptime for as long as possible, dealing massive harm to enemies.

Building a powerful Power Surge character requires a focus on the following:

  1. Weapon: High critical hit chance and damage output. Scar Assault Rifle is a popular choice for this build, however, other weapons with similar stats can work equally well.
  2. Armor and Mods: Increased critical hit chance and damage, enhance Power Surge damage and duration. Lone Wolf set and Violent mods are advised choice for this build.
  3. Playstyle: Focus on landing critical hits to trigger Power Surge and mange cooldown effectively.

While focusing on critical hits is essential, understanding enemy attack patterns and movement is crucial for maximizing Power Surge uptime. Learning to dodge attacks and position yourself effectively can significantly improve your overall performance.
