PoE on PS5 - Is It Worth Playing?
PoE on PS5 is not a native game. There is even a warning in PlayStation Store. Should you play it? Find out.
Path of Exile is the biggest competitor of Diablo series. The title has thousands of players and is regularly updated. While Path of Exile 2 is coming, there is still need for good, old PoE, which was released in 2013. The age of the game can be sometimes problematic, as it was released originally on PS4 and Xbox One. Sometimes, such titles can work not so well on newer platforms. The situation is even more troubling because of the warning on PlayStation Store which states that the game may lack some features. Let’s talk about the PoE on PS5.
PoE on PS5 – Is It Worth Playing?
Of course, PoE is free to play, so we recommend trying it yourself, but we have some information for you, if you want to know something before investing time.
- Technical issues – while in the past console version had some technical problems, it seems that now it is well polished option. You will be able to play comfortably. However, it may struggle at rare times when the screen is full of monsters and skills. But it is the same case on PC.
- Updates – you have to be prepared that updates on consoles are released a little bit later than on PC.
- Controllers – it is the matter of preferences. Some people prefer mouse + keyboard and other controllers. It depends a lot on the build you are using. Many of them can be played better with controller, but K+M is a more suitable variant for precise attacks.
- Economy – the number of players on PS5 is smaller than on PC. It means that economy is worse. You will have to pay more for the same items.
- Graphics – it is worse than on good PC or Xbox Series X. The game works in a backwards compatibility mode, because of that you have to be prepared that PS5 version targets 1080p with medium textures.
