PlayStation 4 software update 5.0 inbound, sign up for closed beta
PlayStation team is gearing up to launch 5.0 software update for PlayStation 4. Before that happens, the update will be beta-tested.
PlayStation team is inviting players to the closed beta tests of the next PlayStation 4 software update, numbered 5.0. This is going to be a good opportunity to have an early look at all new features coming to the console and share some feedback with the producer. If you’d like to sign up for the system update’s beta, head over to this address. Note that the number of spaces in the trial is limited, so you may want to hurry. Find out more information on PlayStation blog.
More details on what changes the 5.0 software version offers will be shared closer to the start of the beta, which launches in early August. Taught by experience, PS4 users may expect that another round number indicates some major improvements and new features. The last big update – 4.50, released in March 2017 – enabled installing applications on external hard disk drive support, offered boost mode for PS4 Pro, enhanced performance in most games, 3D Blu-Ray in VR and some interface tweaks.
