Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition has launched
Would you like to go back to the good old Planescape Torment, but in 4K? Now you can, thanks to Beamdog's Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition, available on PC, iOS, and Android.
Fans of old school RPGs have been playing inXile Entertainment’s Torment: Tides of Numenera since late February this year, and now they can also return to the good old Planescape Torment. Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition is already available on PC (Steam) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android). The new version of the cult classic features mainly technical improvements, namely: higher resolution (up to 4K on PC), reworked user interface, remastered audio, tweaks, and patches prepared in partnership with Chris Avellone, Lead Designer on the original Planescape Torment.
Unlike other enhanced editions prepeared by Beamdog – including the two installments of Baldur’s Gate and Incewind Dale – this one leaves the original content as it was, without introducing any changes or additions. And while there aren’t many professional reviews so far, it seems that Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition meets fans’ expectations, according to early Steam user reviews.
