Plan B: Terraform is a new game about establishing your base on an alien planet. This title has a lot in common with Factorio. Plan B also requires the player to be able to create production chains, which must be properly aligned with each other in order to achieve the goal. In this guide, we will present some tips and tricks related to this game.
Plan B: Terraform Beginner's Guide: Tips and Tricks
- Think of this game as Factorio – Plan B: Terraform is about creating production chains, just like in Factorio. Over time, more and more complex structures will be created. So it is not a full-fledged strategy, but more a game about managing a factory.
- Buildings must be interconnected – for production chains to work properly, buildings extracting raw materials must stand in close proximity to those that need them,
- One depot can support several factories and vice versa – the game does not require you to have each depot have its own factory. Therefore, if you want to save resources and space, it is advisable to build with caution and make full use of the hexagonal map.
- Don't be afraid to change the goods produced in your buildings – this is true especially in the beginning. You will not always have enough buildings to provide a separate production line for each commodity. If you no longer need something, don't be afraid to stop manufacturing it and change building’s output.
- Build outposts as close to cities as possible – sooner or later your goal will be to develop cities on the planet. Therefore, when putting up your first buildings, already think about it and build them as close as possible to a town.
- Check your roads – remember to check in which direction are arrows on your roads. Be sure that they show the right way (they should point at the place, where goods are needed). Make also sure that the roads have trucks assigned to them.
- Build in proximity to Road Stops – to move goods from one place to another you need roads (obviously) and Road Stops. They are points in which trucks load and unload goods. It is important that all necessary goods are close by. That is why, you should build depots in near proximity to Road Stops.
- Don't be afraid to remove and change the layout of your "factory" – removing a building will return its blueprint to you, so you won't lose anything. Often there will be a need for some changes in the layout of the base. Adapt it to your needs.
- The whole planet is your building site – remember that the game does not limit you in building, and the raw materials are scattered all over the globe. Fortunately, structures destroyed in one place can be immediately placed in another.
