Plague of Cheaters in FUT 23; Enraged Players Blame PC Version
FUT 23 is once again facing a flood of cheaters. Fans of the popular FIFA mode are demanding a firm response from EA, and in the meantime they are disabling the cross-platform mode in a bid to avoid cheaters from PC.
The world's most popular sports game once again faces a plague of cheaters. Fan community forums of FIFA 23 have recently been flooded with posts about cheaters spoiling the fun for players in FIFA Ultimate Team mode.
The problem is so serious that the latest FIFA already uses the EA AntiCheat (EACC) security system, and yet PC cheaters continue to increase in numbers.
Fans of the game even claim that the phenomenon of cheating has recently grown to unprecedented proportions.
Unfortunately, the problem described above is evidence of the failure of EA AntiCheat. Developed by Electronic Arts What's more, this is not the first time the system has been a source of controversy.
Around the time of the game's release it caused major performance issues, and was so flawed that it enabled cheaters to kick their opponents out of the game.
Invisible players and angry community
Disgruntled community of FIFA is sharing online evidence of the cheating that honest FIFA Ultimate Team players have to face on a daily basis.
As an example, consider a short video posted on Twitter by user SlaterAC_. The video shows that when playing in the FUT Championship, SlaterAC_ has to face... invisible opponents, who easily play the ball and score a goal against the clearly confused player.
In the comments under the video, many other users also reported a similar problem with cheaters, as proof posting their own videos of matches with ghost opponents.
And that's not all, as in recent weeks the so-called artificial intelligence (AI) cheat has gained notoriety, in which instead of a cheater the match is played by an almost invincible bot, knowing all the effective play schemes. Other players, in turn, complain about cheaters, who have all the players with the highest stats, i.e. 99, in their team (which, of course, is impossible without the use of cheats).
Massive problems with cheaters are prompting an increasing number of console players of FIFA to turn off the crossplay function, just to avoid encountering PC players.
As claimed however, by one Reddit known as Ambitious-Target4186, even this solution may not be enough, given that hackers are supposed to be able to easily change their ID to the console equivalent.
"Apparently, hackers can change the platform ID to PS for matchmaking, so even disabling crossplay may no longer be an effective solution."
FUT fans faced with fast-growing problems with cheaters are demanding a swift and firm response from EA. The developer has so far not addressed the issue.
