STALKER Inspired Pioner Gets New Trailer
Pioner, GFA Games' network shooter inspired by the STALKER series, got a new trailer at E3 2021. Apart from more mutants we saw a mysterious levitating girl.
Fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series have reasons to be happy - not only we saw the sequel on Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, but also a new trailer for Pioner, a game inspired by the former series, at the PC Gaming Show. You can watch it below.
The title was officially announced over a month ago, and in recent days we learned some details about its combat system. This time we could take a closer look at the gameplay. It may not be too innovative, but it's interesting enough to keep GFA Games' production in mind.
Especially since the story campaign of Pioner seems to be more than just an excuse to kill all sorts of mutants and survivors. Particular attention is drawn to the levitating girl - probably an anomaly - who appears at the beginning of the video. We can expect that there will be more similar "oddities".
Developers declare that completing the game solo will be possible, but they suggest playing Pioneer in co-op mode. The game will also feature raids and base defense. In each of them we'll use a diverse arsenal of weapons for close and ranged combat, as well as gadgets such as special watches, palmtops and dosimeters.
The game's open world is full of sci-fi elements, including some inspired by Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky - and a meticulously rendered Soviet retro style.
Pioner should debut on PC in late 2021 or early 2022. Meanwhile, beta tests of the game are due to take place in the fall.
