Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition to launch on consoles this August
So far, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players didn't have a chance to play Pillars of Eternity on their platform of choice. This will change with the release of Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition, announced to hit consoles this August.
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will soon get to experience Obsidian’s recent take on role-playing genre thanks to the release of Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition on August 29, 2017. The Complete Edition is going to offer the original game and the two-part expansion called The White March, as well as post-DLC updates. Of course, the XONE and PS4 versions will feature a remodeled UI and controls redesigned specifically for their dedicated controllers. Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will be sold over Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store, but a boxed version will be available too, distributed by 505 Games.
As for the console conversion of Pillars of Eternity, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 port will be handled by Paradox Interactive’s subsidiary Paradox Arctic, and not Obsidian Entertainment (game’s original developer). The latter is currently hard at work on a Pillars of Eternity sequel. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is going to send the players chasing after an awoken god. The pursuit will take us into a brand new region, the Deadfire archipelago, across which we will travel on foot and by ship.
