Phantom Hall is a Spelunky meets Worms squad-based shooter heading to Early Access
"It's a real-time Worms with the procedurally generated chaos of Spelunky", says Phantom Hall developer about his game. The title is going to hit Steam Early Access next month.
Phantom Hall – a spooky squad-based shooter – has headed toward Steam Early Access, where it’s going to launch on March 13, 2017. The game is said to combine procedurally generated experience of Spelunky with real-time Worms mechanics. The players will command a team of teenagers trapped in a haunted manor and try to fight with monsters dwelling in its dark corridors all the way to the villainous master of the house. In order to survive the heroes will have to pick up various customizable weapons, traps, potions and flashlights.
The Early Access version is initially going to be priced at $6.99. It will include ten playable characters and a dozen enemy types as well as six different, procedurally generated environments. Of course, new features and content will be appearing over the coming months. This is what the founder of independent studio Incendium says about the team’s project:
We're building an engaging horror-comedy adventure with dozens of outspoken characters, monstrous enemies, makeshift weapons, eerie environments, gear customisation and more - we hope Phantom Halls will inspire a thriving playerbase that can genuinely and meaningfully help us prioritise new content and steer the direction of the game.
Phantom Hall is currently displayed on Steam Greenlight, where you can find more information about the game.
