PC has New Top-rated Game and It's a Console Game Port

Metacritic has a new leader in the PC game category. The highest rated PC game ever is now Persona 5 Royal.
- The average rating for the PC version of Persona 5 Royal is currently 97%.Thus, the game managed to beat the previous leader, namely. Disco Elysium, which dropped to second place. The last position on the podium is occupied by Half-Life 2.
- Gamers themselves are equally delighted. On Steam, 97% of user reviews praise the title, which is categorized as "overwhelmingly positive" reception.
- It is worth adding that the PC edition of Persona 5 Royal is the highest-rated version of the game by industry media. Simultaneously released console editions have lower averages - 93% on PS5, 94% on Switch and 95% on Xbox Series X/S (XONE has too few reviews for now).
- What's more, the PC port of the game also has a higher average than the original, the PlayStation 4 version, released in 2020, which received a score of 94%.
Persona 5 Royal not only collects excellent reviews from industry media and gamers, but is also drawing crowds in front of screens. The game's activity record, set last weekend, was 35,474 concurrent users on Steam. This result is three times higher than that achieved by Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which is another port of a console classic that debuted last week.
Recall that Persona 5 Royal made its debut on October 21, on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. The PS4 release came out in March 2020. The game is also available as part of a Game Pass subscription, on both PC and Xbox consoles.
