PC Building Simulator Adds Esports Builds
Esports Expansion for PC Building Simulator has been released. As the title suggests, the fun revolves around building PCs for Esports teams and helping players during the tournaments.
PC Building Simulator just got another expansion. The DLC is called Esports Expansion and it's a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base game. It can be purchased on Steam and GOG.com for $11.69. This is a specialprice, reduced by 10% on the occasion of the release and after August 11 it will jump to $13.99 PLN. It is worth mentioning that in the first of these stores PC Building Simulator is currently being discounted, under which the production can be purchased for $9.99.
The base game is also available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but the Esports Expansion DLC launched exclusively on PC. For the time being we don't know if the developers are planning to port the add-on to the consoles.
As the title suggests, the add-on expansion aenables us to play the role of the person employed as technical support for an esports team. When we start playing, the team doesn't have great achievements, but with our help it will quickly become more and more successful. To achieve this, however, it will be necessary to meet the expectations of the players, their manager and the sponsors.
Before each competition, the player spends time in the workshop constructing the PCs according to the recommendations received by phone messages and emails. They also have the opportunity to earn extra money by completing side tasks for the manager and gamers, but the priority is to build configurations that will make it easier for the player to win during esports competitions.
The player accompanies the team also during the tournaments. Behind the scenes, thay have to make last-minute modifications on a moment's notice, taking into account both gamer requests and sponsor requirements. They then deal with the positioning of the PCs in the arena in order to avoid, for example, placing two short-fused players next to each other. We then follow the matches themselves, checking whether their services are not needed during breaks.
The successes achieved during the competition increase the profile of the team, giving us a bigger budget and easier access to sponsors. The developers have licensed by many major manufacturers, so we can play with equipment from brands such as AMD, ASUS / Republic of Gamers, ASRock, COLORFUL, CORSAIR, EVGA, G.SKILL, HyperX, MSI, NVIDIA, NZXT, Raijintek and Razer.
