Paradox is 'Happy' With New Studio's Progress on Bloodlines 2
During yesterday's broadcast, a representative of Paradox Interactive spoke about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. The publisher is 'happy' with the progress of the new studio, although we'll have to wait a bit for the release.
The long awaited Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has it hard. Recently, the CEO of Paradox Interactive (the game's publisher) Fredrik Wester commented on the rumors of the project's cancelation. In an interview he assured that after the dismissal of Hardsuit Labs the work was entrusted to another developer with a good reputation among gamers..
During yesterday's broadcast, presenting the company's report for the third quarter of this year, Alexander Bricca - CFO of Paradox - was asked about the progress of work on VtMB2 . Here's his response (46:25 in the broadcast):
"Bloodlines 2 is a game that we think has very high potential, very strong fan base. (...) The new developer is doing quite well and we are happy with the progress of the project now, but it's still quite some time before we can start to talk about release dates or so."
"We prefer to give the studio a situation where they can focus fully on the game development, and not having to adress fans reaching out to them. So therefore we have not disclosed the name of the studio, and we are very happy to keep it that way for some time."

What studio do you bet on then? Arkane, Obsidian, Harebrained (Shadowrun Returns) - it would be nice to let your imagination run wild. Well, we'll probably have to wait for more details - at least until next year's E3. According to earlier announcements, Bloodlines 2 is to be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One and PS4. Let's just hope that the delayed release doesn't turn us all into Malkavians.
