Origin Access and EA Access Merge as EA Play
Electronic Arts has announced that on August 18, Origin Access and EA Access subscriptions will be merged under one new name - EA Play. This service is to keep the existing prices and profits for subscribers. At the same time, it is to systematically introduce new features.

Electronic Arts has so far offered two similar subscriptions - Origin Access and EA Access. The first one worked exclusively on PC on the Origin platform. The second one was designed for PS4 and Xbox One consoles and was to come on Steam. However, this division will disappear on August 18. That's when both services are combined under one name - EA Play (Origin Access Premier will be renamed to EA Play Pro). According to a note posted on the official website of the company, the price for the subscription will remain the same. The existing profits for subscribers will also be preserved. However, there will be some new features, which will be added at a later date. These include exclusive challenges and monthly prizes awarded in selected games.
