Open Beta of New Steam Library Launches

The beta version of the new Steam Library, which we have heard about since March this year, is now available to all interested parties. Valve Software not only refreshed its appearance, but also added a number of new functionalities.

Valve Software has launched open beta-tests of the new version of Steam Library. To take part in the tests, launch the application, click on the "Steam" button in the upper left corner of the screen and then on "Settings"; in the "Account" tab, under "Beta test participation", click on "Change" and in the next window choose "Steam Beta Update". The last step is to confirm the changes and agree to restart Steam.

The new version of Steam Library enables us, among other things, to arrange games on separate "shelves".

The new library is designed to offer the players "everything in one place". We get clear information about updates and events for our games, the ability to quickly go back to the last game or check one of our newly purchased positions, as well as the opportunity to take a peek at our friends and see what they were playing recently. In addition, the creators provide us with a wider range of options for organizing our game collection.

Let's remind that we first heard about Steam Library's new look in March, this year; then we could also get to know the first details about the additional functionality and take a look at the graphics presenting Valve's new design. At the beginning of September we got to know a handful of other details about the novelties prepared for the new version.
