What do we know about Loki
The current arc of the One Piece manga centers on the adventures of Luffy and his crew on Elbaf Island. Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Chopper, and Usopp find themselves separated from the rest of the crew as they try to reunite and escape a city that looks like it was built from Lego bricks.
In chapter 1130, we see Robin, Lilith, Bonney, Kuma, Franky, Brook, Jinbe, and the rest of the giants heading toward Elbaf. This likely means the Straw Hats will soon be reunited. The chapter also reveals that the entire kingdom of Elbaf is built on Yggdrasil, a giant tree from Norse mythology that seems to play an important role in the story.
In the leaks, Luffy gets separated from the group and encounters Loki, the prince of Elbaf, who is chained to Yggdrasil and appears quite menacing. The giants refer to him as the "Cursed Prince" and describe him as evil because he killed King Harald, the former ruler of Elbaf, in order to claim a legendary Devil Fruit that has been passed down through the royal family.
While it’s clear Loki possesses a Devil Fruit ability, the exact nature of his power remains a mystery. However, the "Cursed Prince" was strong enough to cause major trouble for the giants when they imprisoned him. This isn't Loki's first appearance in the manga; we've seen his silhouette before, but now we get a full view of his intimidating design, which has left even the giants in fear of his power.
One Piece manga hiatus
After chapter 1130, the One Piece manga is set to take a two-week break, from October 21st to November 10th. Eiichiro Oda is taking this brief pause to conduct some research for the series.
As a quick reminder, the One Piece anime will also be going on a much longer hiatus. The anime is expected to return in April 2025, bringing with it more exciting battles and unexpected plot twists. Fans of both the manga and anime will have to be patient.
