Nvidia Will Reduce Price of GeForce RTX 2060 for Radeon 5600 XT Launch
It looks like Nvidia is planning to lower the price of GeForce RTX 2060, the weakest Turing-based chipset that supports ray tracing. The move will most likely be the answer to the January launch of Radeon RX 5600 XT.
During the CES, journalists from Tom's Hardware had the opportunity to see a new version of the GeForce RTX 2060 from EVGA, with the letters KO in its name. Interestingly, the GPU was priced at just $299. This suggests that Nvidia's response to the launch of the Radeon RX 5600 XT presented yesterday will be to lower the price of the base RTX 2060 model.
EVGA's product is clearly designed with the lowest possible production costs in mind. We have a classic cooling system based on two fans and only three ports - HDMI, Display Port and DVI-D. The core and memory clock is to be at the level of reference model of RTX 2060. Below you will find some pictures of the graphics card.
It is worth noting that this Nvidia design, unlike AMD's product, supports ray tracing, which may tempt some customers.
