Nvidia: DLSS 2.1 Will Bring the 8K Era to PC

This is official - DLSS 2.1 technology will see the light of day. Nvidia also provided some details about it, including compatibility with VR sets.

Maybe it's not version 3.0, but the changes are quite significant.

Nvidia has its moment of glory. Its new RTX 3000 family GPU are impressive not only in terms of quality but also price. You can read more about their performance and hardware specs here. The company's employees have also hosted a questions and answers session on Reddit in order to dispel the biggest doubts about their further actions. Among other things, the topic of DLSS technology and its improvements in the form of DLSS 2.1 was discussed.

There are three elementary updates in this regard. First, the VR titles will now be DLSS compatible. Second, a special 'ultra' performance mode has been added to enable gaming in 8K (on GeForce RTX 3090). Thirdly, it provides support for the dynamic resolution and, consequently, real-time changes to smoother gameplay at the expense of a slight quality drop. DLSS 2.1 was first seen a few days ago in Steam database on the page of Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
