No Man's Sky: Frontiers Update is Here And Lets Us Set Up Space Settlements
Today, No Man's Sky received a free update 3.6, titled Frontiers. It enables us to establish and develop a space settlement. Some of the new features were presented in a fresh trailer.
Less than a month ago No Man's Sky celebrated its 5th birthday, and today the game received another patch. As part of the Frontiers update, the developers from Hello Games have introduced a number of changes in the matter of settlements - among other things, we can become a supervisor, which will transform a small village into a functioning city, and alien colonies can now be found on all inhabited planets. Below you can watch the trailer accompanying the new patch.
The list of all important changes introduced by patch 3.6 is available below. For more details on them I refer you here.
Significant changes to No Man's Sky introduced by the Frontiers (3.6) update:
- Providing players with the ability to be an overseer and develop simple villages into thriving cities;
- Introduction of a system of making legislative decisions, thanks to which we can influence the happiness, productivity and general well-being of our settlers;
- Addition of hundreds of new elements to build our base;
- Implementation of advanced building management;
- Alien villages can now be found on every inhabited planet;
- Increased number of save slots from 5 to 15 and support for large (disk and server space consuming) "saves";
- Unconsumable items bought for quicksilver, like building parts and gestures, are now available on all saves, not just the one where the purchase was made;
- Collector Cards and Badges have been added to the Steam version of the game.
To enjoy all the new features, you don't have to burden your connection too much - update 3.6 weighs only about 6.6 GB on PC (on other platforms you may need to download a slightly larger - by about 1 GB - amount of data). Thanks to it No Man's Sky has become an even better game, which has not escaped the attention of the community, nor the small team of developers - as evidenced by these words from Sean Murray - who admitted that they worked up a sweat because they knew how important the new update was to the fans. The admirable development of the game has resulted in, among other things, such works by internet users:
No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX|S.
