No Man's Sky Beyond - New Major Update Coming This Summer
In the summer, No Man's Sky will receive another major and free update, which will consist of three separate components. The first will focus on expanding the aspect of the game. Other details will be announced soon.
Hello Games has just announced a new major update for No Man's Sky, titled No Man's Sky: Beyond. According to the developers' announcements,it will consist of three free expansion, which will focus on various aspects of the title. Initially, they were to be delivered at different dates, but the devs decided that it would be better if they were published at the same time this summer.
The first update component described by the developers will be No Man's Sky: Online. The expansion is to introduce radical changes to the multiplayer mode and interaction between the participants of the game. They are to be a response to the suggestions of fans and the realization of earlier dreams and plans of Hello Games. The developers point out that their goal is not to create an MMO, they also dissociate themselves from introducing any microtransactions and additional fees. The nature and content of the other two components of No Man's Sky: Beyond should be known in the coming weeks.
Let's remind that No Man's Sky was released in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and PCs (the Xbox One version appeared almost two years later). The game was then destroyed by critics and many players, but the developers gradually enriched it with new content. Last year turned out to be a breakthrough for the game. In July a huge update to version 1.50 was released, titled NEXT, which was so enthusiastically received that for some time the game was again on the list of bestsellers on PCs and consoles. It drastically changed the appearance of the title and its gameplay, introducing the long-awaited multiplayer mode. A few months later we received another patch, which this time focused on the vehicles available in the game, exploration of the oceans, and expanding the variety of the game's procedurally generated worlds.
