Nioh 2 Complete Edition Coming to PC and PS4; Remasters of Both Games on PS5
Koei Tecmo announced NiOh: The Complete Edition, including classic soulslike games NiOh 1 and 2 from Team Ninja. The Japanese hask'n'slash gamew will be released as remasters on PlayStation 5, and the second game will finally be released on PC.
Refreshed versions of both NiOh games have been announced. Both versions, prepared by the devs of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, will appear on PS5. The release date of the remasters and complete editions containing all DLCs has been set for February 5, 2021. The complete edition of the highly acclaimed NiOh 2 will also be made available on PC and PlayStation 4, and gamers can count on a free upgrade on PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, it looks like the free upgrade does not apply to the first installment. Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer of the second installment on the occasion of the announcement.
The publisher also revealed what to expect from the PC version of NiOh 2: Complete Edition. Players can count on the ability to change their mouse and key settings, as well as support for 4K, HDR and ultra-wide monitors, including high refresh rate (144 Hz). There will also be no fps lock at, e.g. 60 fps. Users of appropriately powerful equipment will be able to play even in 120 fps. Both remastered on PlayStation 5 are also designed to run in 4K and up to 120 fps, and the ultra-fast loading of games will not make frequent deaths so severe. Finally, NiOh 2 owners on PS4 will be able to enjoy the latest expansion for the game, The First Samurai, which will be released on December 17, 2020.
