Ninja Scores Successful Debut on Mixer
Ninja has reasons to be satisfied. His first day on Mixer proved to be very successful and the stream was more popular than his latest Twitch broadcasts.
Last week, Ninja, Twitch's most popular streamer, announced that he is abandoning this platform in favor of Mixer, Microsoft's competitive service. Many people wondered how much of the audience he would lose as a result of this transfer. It turns out, however, that the fans followed the streamer to his new workplace.
On his first day on Mixer Ninja streamed Fortnitefor six hours. During that time he was watched by an average of 65,000 people at the same time, and in the hottest moment the number increased to 95,800. In recent weeks on Twitch the streamer could count on an average of about 40,000 simultaneous viewers. Thus, the debut on the new platform turned out to be very successful for the streamer.
Of course, the transfer was very loud, which increased the interest in the stream. It will take weeks and months before we know that Ninja is able to attract a Twitch-like audience on Mixer on a regular basis.
At the time of leaving Twitch, 14.7 million people followed Ninja on this platform. It gave him the position of undisputed leader, because the two next most popular streamers (Shroud and Tfue) could boast the results of 6.7 million each.
It is worth mentioning yesterday's unofficial reports that Ninja received $50 million from Microsoft for switching from Twitch to Mixer. The streamer started his career playing Halo, so we're wondering if he's going to promote Halo Infinite.
