NFS Unbound Will Let us Remove Car Parts and Offer Diverse Map
The release of Need for Speed Unbound is approaching. The next part of the iconic racing game series will offer many interesting solutions. In addition to innovative visuals, we will get a diverse map and unprecedented options for removing car parts.
Need for Speed Unbound is undoubtedly a novel approach to the iconic racing game series. This is evidenced not only by the animated extras we are already familiar with (and will be able to turn them off, at least in part), but also by a wider range of car customization options than before - the very essence of NFS.
As we can read on the game's official website, creators of Unbound will offer option of disassembling parts of the car body. This means that we will be able, for example, to expose the "heart" of our vehicle to opponents by removing the hood. We also saw this in the example of Nissan Silvia without a roof in the last trailer (below).
Thanks to a note on the game's website, we also learned more details about the map on which we will race. It looks like a truly diverse world awaits us. In addition to the fictional city of Lakeshore City (modeled after Chicago), we'll see, for example, the Seba ski resort, the Griffith Parklands plains, Virgil Lake and the Duncan Bay harbor. All of these locations - combined with radars, jumps or ramps - are supposed to keep us away from boredom.
It is worth adding that those who are not fond of solo play will be able to join network "skirmishes". Multiplayer mode will enable up to 16 players to play in groups of four.
What will be the final result of Criterion Games studio's work? It is difficult to predict. It is rare for a game to electrify the community as much as the upcoming NFS did. From the moment the first footage of the game was released, fans of the iconic series were divided into two camps - those eagerly awaiting the release, and those ... not necessarily. It's hardly surprising, by the way, the cartoonish elements introduced in the project arouse spark emotions in many.
Recall that the premiere of Need for Speed Unbound is scheduled for December 2 this year. The title will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
