New Titan Quest Inbound? Enigmatic Teaser Goes Live
HandyGames is teasing a new game. Although the devs didn't share many details, it can be assumed that the title will be a part of the Titan Quest franchise.
It is possible that next year we will see a new title from the Titan Quest series. On the official Twitter account of HandyGames (responsible for the mobile port of the original game) there is a short entry. It only suggests that the company is "working on something legendary".
Although the entry does not directly indicate that it is about the Titan Quest IP, the graphic clearly refers to the covers of the original Titan Quest and its expansions. The most characteristic element enabling us to define it is the three-headed dog, resembling Cerberus, the guardian of the entrance to the underworld. A similar creature appeared on the cover of the Immortal Throne expansion from 2007.
Titan Quest is a hack'n'slash that was originally released in 2006. Two years after the game launched, the company responsible for its development, Iron Lore Entertainment, ceased operation. 10 years after the title's release, the THQ Nordic, current owner of the IP, decided to resurrect it. In this way, we have seen a refreshed version of the original, more additions, and mobile and console ports.
Despite the reactivation, nothing is known about the potential continuation at this point. There is a chance that this will change in 2021, but it doesn't have to be so. The announcement is extremely minimalistic and may also refer to the next DLC or next mobile game.
