New Thor is Very Romantic, Claims the Director

The director of Thor: Love and Thunder has finished working on the script and calls it one of the more sensual things he has created in his career. The first major LGBT theme in MCU's history was also confirmed.

Waititi may once seek refuge in audacity.

Thor: Ragnarok was one of the loosest movies in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. All thanks to Taiki Waitti, a New Zealand-born filmmaker with comedy talent who has already won an Oscar (Jojo Rabbit for Best Adapted Script) in his career. The next part of the adventures of the Asgard god of lightning will be sutitled Love and Thunder and it will focus on the theme of love, certainly not forgetting about good humor. Waititi admitted in an interview for the BBC that he managed to finish working on the script. He also decided to characterize it:

"It is so insane, but also very romantic. I'm into romances now. I just want to make a romance. I want to do something I've never done or never cared for. I would like to attack something like that."

We know that apart from Thor (whose role will be reprised by Chris Hemsworth) we will also see a completely new antagonist, played by Christian Bale (Dark Knight, The Prestige). And since we are talking about love, the key to the plot will also be female characters, namely Jane (Natalie Portman - we haven't seen her since Dark World) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson, one of Ragnarok's most important heroines), whose plot will become revolutionary for MCU.

During one of the panels at San Diego Comic-Con, the actress said that Valkyrie's main task as a ruler would be to find her queen. Kevin Feige, the main producer of MCU, quickly responded to these words, announcing that she will be the first bisexual heroine in the history of the film universe to influence the presence of more LGBT characters in future productions. Thor: Love and Thunder was supposed to appear in cinemas in November 2021, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the premiere was moved to February 2022.

His adventure with journalism began with a personal blog, the name of which is no longer worth quoting. Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
