New Pokemon Legends Arceus Trailer Reveals Hisuian Voltorb
In a brand new trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus it was revealed that the latest regional form is none other than Hisuian Voltorb.
Today, The Pokemon Company released a new trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Arceus game set to release in January. The new trailer showed off a new Hisuian variant of Voltorb, seeming to bear more resemblance to the steam-powered wooden Pokéballs of the older time period. Reflecting that wooden appearance, Hisuian Voltorb is also an Electric and Grass-type Pokemon. You can watch the new trailer here.
This reveal comes just hours after the Pokemon Legends: Arceus site was flooded with Pokéballs that users had to tap or click to remove. But eventually, one would explode and start the process over again. The new design for Hisuian Voltorb takes a much cuter and less angry approach than the original, making the trailer have a more funny and goofy vibe.
The trailer showed off Hisuian Voltorb rolling around the environment and engaging in battle with other Pokémon. One important detail to note is one moment where a trainer is surrounded by Hisuian Voltorb that all seem to vary in size. This seems to confirm that the same Pokémon species will have varying visual sizes within the game.
Hisuian Voltorb ends the trailer with an explosion, something its original counterpart is very well known for. The Pokemon Legends: Arceus website even describes Hisuian Voltorb as a nuisance, with residents often plugging the electric hole on its head and kicking it out of settlements.
As of now, it’s not clear if Hisuian Voltorb will evolve into Hisuian Electrode, mirroring the original Voltorb’s evolution. It is possible that Hisuian Voltorb will evolve into a brand new Pokemon. Until further news or trailers are released, however, the only thing to do is wait and see. Thankfully the wait isn’t too much longer because Pokemon Legends: Arceus is scheduled to release for the Nintendo Switch on January 28th, 2022.
