New leak shows the PC version of RDR2 [UPDATED]
A YouTube video shows what has to be the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, assuming it isn't fake.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- A video posted on YouTube allegedly shows a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2;
- The footage shows a graphic settings screen that definitely isn’t from a console version.
UPDATE: The video, as well as the user account that was used to post it, was locked and has become unavailable.
We’ve got another leak that proves that Red Dead Redemption 2 is indeed coming to PC. This time the thing is rather exciting as it features more than words and assurances from various "highly ultraconfidential" sources. Youtuber Mrdc kill’s channel posted a short video showing the PC edition of RDR2 in action!
Although the footage is very low quality (it is a monitor screen recorded from a mobile phone), it certainly shows the back of Arthur Morgan, the main protagonist of Rockstar Games’ latest production. More importantly, a moment later a menu opens, in which you can see a table full of typical PC visual settings. FXAAA and the slider that allows you to change the resolution are clearly visible, so there is no way we are seeing an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 version. You can also notice the version of the game, marked 1118.8.
Of course, it cannot be ruled out that the video in question is just a cunning fraud created by gluing together several other materials. However, it certainly looks convincing. The question of its authenticity is currently the subject of heated discussion on Reddit. And what is your opinion?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One October 26. It is also worth noting that although the previous part of the game never appeared on personal computers, the previous production form Rockstar Games - Grand Theft Auto V – had a PC release and enjoys great popularity.
