Fans of indie horror games should remember Buckshot Roulette. This game for the first time appeared on itch.io at the end of 2023, but in April 2024 also hit probably the most popular PC shop – Steam. Originally, this title offered only one mode – singleplayer – in which players faced controlled by AI sinister croupier in a modified version of Russian roulette. As you might have guessed, the idea would work great as a multiplayer. The studio responsible for the title also noticed it.

Multiplayer in Buckshot Roulette Explained

A couple of days ago, a big update to Buckshot Roulette was released. With that, the multiplayer was introduced to this title. When you start the game, you will see a brand-new option that allows to play with friends. In that mode you can invite up to three people.

When you click on “Multiplayer”, you will end up in a dedicated menu. Now you have two options:

  1. You can host the multiplayer session, by clicking “Host table”. Next, you must invite max three other players, specify number of rounds and decide whether to skip the intro.
  2. You can also join your friends’ session. To do this, you must click on “Join with lobby ID” and paste a special code or accept invitation.

Multiplayer was tested before the update, so you shouldn’t experience any major issues. But nothing is perfect. Players report some bugs. One of fans says about black screen after winning a round. Others talk about skipping a round when you drink beer. So, if you experience them, you can report this in the dedicated thread on Steam forum.
