Naughty Dog Looks for People with Knowledge About DX12 and Nvidia's GPU
Naughty Dog is looking for a graphic programmer who has knowledge about DirectX 12 and Vulkan interfaces, as well as graphics cards created by AMD and Nvidia. It is not known what project the person would be working on.
Naughty Dog, the team responsible for such hits as the Uncharted series or The Last of Us - is looking for a graphic programmer who has knowledge about the DirectX 12 and Vulkan API (Application Programming Interface), as well as graphic cards developed by Nvidia. The announcement appeared on the official website of the company and does not reveal which project the new employee would be working on.
The situation is interesting because Naughty Dog is an internal studio of Sony and has been creating games available only on Japanese consoles for years, and neither PlayStation 4 nor, as far as we know, PlayStation 5 has anything to do with DX12 and Nvidia (both based on AMD components). Does this mean we will get a PC version of one of the next titles of this developer? It is difficult to say - it may well be just a general reference to describe the potential candidate properly.
We would like to remind that Naughty Dog is currently working on The Last of Us: Part II, which will hit the PS4 console on May 29, 2020.
