Mount & Blades 2 Bannerlord’s devs are cooking something big for tomorrow

DLC, new game, or just a big update? Either way, Bannerlord fans are losing it.

It's been nearly two years since Bannerlord's last big update, and while everyone’s been waiting for the long-awaited 1.3 patch, TaleWorlds is out here teasing something huge for tomorrow – Thursday, March 20, 2025. But what exactly is it? The community is going crazy with theories, but let’s see if we can piece together something solid.

What is TaleWorlds teasing?

It all started on March 17 when the Mount & Blade devs dropped a post on X with an image of a sealed parchment and the cryptic message: "Breaking the seal on Thursday..."

People immediately noticed that the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II devs chimed in under the post, which, of course, led to wild speculation about a possible collab between the two games. And yeah, that would be the most insane crossover ever, but let’s be real, it’s probably not happening. I know, it hurts.

The next day, the Mount & Blade devs posted another teaser on X, this time, a gif with a shipwreck. And yeah, this one seemed pretty obvious – a Viking-themed update or DLC, right?

But some people think there’s more to it. There’s speculation that this could actually be a whole new game, probably getting announced at the Future Game Show on Thursday at 1 PM PDT | 4 PM EDT | 8 PM GMT, where TaleWorlds has a scheduled segment.

I guess we’ll all have to wait until tomorrow for the big news, and I have to admit – they know exactly how to build tension. I won’t be getting any sleep tonight with all these possible scenarios running through my head.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
