Mount & Blade Warband - New Version of Adventure in the East
A new version of Adventure in the East, a mod that brings Mount & Blade: Warband to the realities of the Middle East in the 7th century, has been released.
It's been more than three years since the debut of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord in early access, and we've been able to play version 1.0 since last October. Despite this, a large part of the modding community doesn't even think about switching to the second installment and instead continues to develop their projects for the classic Mount & Blade: Warband. A good example of this is the mod called Adventure in the East, which has just received a new version.
The mod moves the action from the fantasy land of Calradia to the Middle East in the year 634 AD. The authors mainly stuck to history, but in some places they allowed themselves for deviations from realism in order to make the game more enjoyable. In addition to sandbox gameplay, a story campaign with multiple missions is also available.

Adventure in the East remakes virtually all elements of the game. We get a new map and nine factions (the Roman Empire, the Rashidun Caliphs, the Sassanid Empire, the Avar Khaganate, the Bulgarian Khanate, the Alans, the Kingdom of Aksum, the Kingdom of Makuria and the Göktürks). The gameplay mechanics have also been heavily revised, including an expanded swordsmanship system and RPG elements (for example, persuasion now plays a role during conversations).
All this was built on a ton of new audiovisual elements. Of course, in terms of visuals, this is still the level of Warband, which may not suit everyone after the improvements offered by Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, but Adventure in the East makes up for the outdated visual setting with rich content and an interesting climate of the Middle East in the 7th century
The new version of the mod is numbered 6.0, and it brings new models and textures, numerous bug and gameplay balance fixes, and AI improvements.
